Bringing the community together

What we do

As a PTA we try to organise lots of fun events that help bring families together and promote the community strength of Brabourne School. Through this we raise money that is invested in school projects – projects that the school would not otherwise be able to afford. Government funding is targeted primarily at teaching and teaching resources so any general improvements the school wants to make have to be funded separately.
In the last couple of years we have helped fund the solar panels on the roof of the school hall which now generate additional income for the school; we have raised money to improve the wireless network and to install cutting edge interactive projectors in all of the classrooms. We also subsidise school trips, swimming lessons and other miscellaneous school costs. This year we raised money to build an outdoor shelter and seating in the playground.

How you can help

There are several ways you can help us and we will be forever grateful for whatever support you can give! This could be anything from making cakes, organising a fundraising event to volunteering your time at one of the various events we run throughout the year. Our event dates will be communicated via the school network and published on the Brabourne School Parents Group Facebook page.

If you don’t have any spare time but feel you can support us with donations, there are a couple of ways to do this.

You can either make a one-off donation or set up a regular standing order using these details:

Name: Brabourne Church of England Primary School Parents and Teacher Association

Account: 74336371

Sort code: 60-01-21

Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will help us to support the children at Brabourne and will be very gratefully received!

Alternatively, you can make an easy one-off or regular donation through the InvestMyCommunity page.

If you can think of other ways to support Brabourne PTA please get in touch by emailing brabournecepspta@gmail.com. We’d love to hear from you.

Thank you so much for your support!

The PTA committee

Any parent is automatically a member of the association and is more than welcome to attend meetings. We love to hear different opinions and if you have any time to help you’d be very popular!
As a registered charity, we do have to have elected officers and abide by our constitution. The committee is managed by:

Chair: Yolande Roberts
Vice Chair: Selina Eyles
Secretary: Cathy Townsend
Treasurer: Russ Smith
Communications: Lena Valentine

When we meet

We try and alternate meetings between daytime and evening so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to attend. It’s also a good way to get to know the community.
